unoriginal title: About me

Hi guys! My name is Morgan McKinney. Here I will tell you a little bit about myself.

I was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, because my dad served in the marine corps (that’s where he was stationed at the time) Soon after I was born though, we moved back to West Virginia where we lived in a trailer on my grandparents’ property. Both of my parents worked hard to make a better life for themselves and their children, and now here I am:)

I’ve worked at Sheetz for almost a year now, and I must say it’s pretty awesome. Of course, there are days when I hate being there, but for the most part its a good environment and my coworkers are great. I have also been playing soccer for nearly my entire life. This coming year will be a bittersweet one as I approach my last season. I look forward to all the great things senior year will bring!

I absolutely love reading. Ever since I was tiny, I loved to read. I would read Junie B. Jones and the Magic Tree House all the time! When my awkward teen years came around I always enjoyed the sappy romance and mysterious novels. Now, I just read whatever gets thrown at me, and I very seldom don’t enjoy the reading material.

My most embarrassing moment? That’s an easy one. When I was around the age of 7, I participated in dance. It had been about a year since I first started ballet, and our recital was on it’s way. One day, we were practicing and I had to run to the ladies room. (I HAD TO GO BAD) I was waving my hand around for Miss Becky to see me, but she would just wave me off and tell me to wait. So I waited. and waited. and waited. and WAITED until I couldn’t wait anymore. I literally peed right there on the floor. All the girls in the room squealed and ran in every direction away from me like I was a disease. Miss Becky made a toilet paper trail for me to walk on all the way to the bathroom. It was so embarrassing!! I quit after that.

I hope that this served as a good introduction to myself. I am so eager to start this class, because I enjoyed just about every second of AP lang. I hope to better my understanding of literature, and better my writing skills.

Anyways, thanks for reading! 🙂
